The Company
The Talk Shop is a rehearsal room for adults, opened in November 2026. Sixteen AI women play the other side of the conversations people find hardest to begin.
What the company does
We wrote 16 characters with ordinary working lives, a mediator, a bar manager, a stage director, a driving examiner, and gave each a way of listening. You choose a sentence you cannot quite say, a partner plays her side, and you take it again. That is the complete offer, and it will stay that small.
Why rehearsal
Actors do not walk on cold. Neither should anyone about to say 'I like you' or 'no, thank you'. We think the useful thing a text chat can give is a room where a clumsy first take costs nothing, and a partner who remembers that you have tried before.
What we do not do
We do not teach, diagnose or advise. The partners are characters, not experts, and our help page says where to take a health question. Everyone in the cast is a fictional adult, nobody real stands behind them, and the scenes close their door before anything explicit. If any of that changes, the programme notes say so the same day.
